Local firms wanted to build East Riding veterinary hospital!

Let’s build a veterinary community project together!
The entire team at Wicstun Vets are truly excited to announce that after a significant period of planning, we are ready to start work on a purpose built animal hospital in Market Weighton.
Situated just off the Holme Road roundabout, the ideal location can be easily reached by animals large and small and, having outgrown our current site at Market Weighton, life will be made easier for our clients with extensive parking, a comfortable, spacious waiting area and plenty of specially designed consultation rooms.
We care enormously about what we do and we are always looking for opportunities to build upon current successes to continually improve our services. We are delighted to say that the project will see our patient care facilities raised to the level of Tier 3 Hospital, the highest veterinary practice accreditation standard available.

Yorkshire Post Rural Award 2017 Vet of the Year winner and Wicstun partner, Ed Pettifer, says “the project is designed to support community trade and local businesses”
We’re proud of the level of care we currently provide, the new hospital and facilities mean that you can rest assured that we are providing you and your pets, farm animals and horses with the very best care possible.
The Wicstun branches at Pocklington and South Cave will remain as they are and the great level of service and care will simply be supported by the hospital. Happily, all patients and clients will now be further supported by this additional, new facility and we can extend advanced care to all registered patients and clients.

Our Pocklington and South Cave branches will provide continued excellent service, with the support of a state of the art veterinary hospital nearby.
So, now we’ve introduced the ‘what’s and why’s’ we move to a really exciting part – the ‘how’ and this is where you come in……..
Ever since Wicstun began over 90 years ago we have always been privileged to support our communities and have, as such, been so well supported by the local communities ourselves. We remain proudly independent.
From the very beginning, we have been absolutely committed to ensuring that our new project creates as much work and as many jobs within the local area as possible. The new hospital will create new jobs, but we know we can do better than that. Building our community veterinary hospital is by no means a small task and we are single minded when it comes to how we’re doing it!
It is so important to us that we look after our communities and support independent businesses that we would like to openly invite companies based in East Riding and York to tender for the various parts of the first phase.
We would like to hear from;
