Laser (light) therapies have been around for centuries due to their healing properties. Laser treatment can be used in conjunction or in the place of medication to manage pain, inflammation and wound healing.
Laser therapy encourages cell growth and repair, accelerating healing and reduces inflammation and relieves pain. It also improves nerve function and circulation.
Laser is a quick and pain free treatment for acute and chronic conditions such as:
- Musculoskeletal conditions
- Hip Dysplasia
- Elbow Dysplasia
- Spinal and Cruciate Injuries
- Osteoarthritis
- Neurological disorders
- Soft Tissue Injuries
- Cystitis
- Inflammation
- Wounds
- Spondylosis
- Tendon/muscle sprains
- Spondylosis
- DJD
During a treatment session, the handheld laser wand is slowly moved back and forth over the damaged tissue, producing a warm, pleasant sensation that most pets seem to enjoy and find relaxing.
Sessions usually last 15 to 30 minutes, with the number of sessions and frequency of treatments dependent on the injury.
The initial recommended treatment schedule is 5 sessions over 14 days. Following visible improvement, monthly intervals.
Most insurance policies will cover laser therapy due to the proven results over recent years.
