Congratulations to Andrew on completion of his certificate in Small Animal Medicine!
After three years of studying, we are extremely proud to announce that Andrew found out this week that he has been successful in passing his post graduate certificate in small animal medicine.

Unlike many veterinary practices, we provide 24-hour emergency care for both small animals and farm, with an onsite night team at our Market Weighton hospital – we do not send you anywhere else, ensuring your pet has instant access to one of your own vets and your own clinical records should they need it.

In addition to our extremely busy hydrotherapy and therapeutic laser sessions, we have now joined forces with Frankie Bickerdike, a Veterinary Physiotherapist. Frankie is started her career in human physiotherapy and 2015 completed her post graduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
Meet Hugo – a new member of the Hearing Dogs Team!
John (Partner Vet) has donated one of his beautiful pups (Hugo!) to the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Wicstun Vets have supported the Hearing Dogs for many years and we work closely with the team at the local centre in Bielby.
Pet owners wishing to travel abroad with their pets will need to follow new guidelines from January 2021.
There is only one new requirement for EU travel and that is the issue of an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) rather than using a pet passport.

Lilies, as beautiful as they are can be very harmful to cats. Every part of the lily; the petals, leaves, pollen and even water from the vase can be harmful. The toxins (nephrotoxin, meaning affecting the kidneys) will affect your cat quite quickly, often within two hours of ingestion.
